Spoken-word audio recording began in the USA in the Thirties with the talking-book program for veterans. In the UK Listening Books were founded in 1959 by Norma Skemp and are still going today.
The Casket of Fictional Delights specialises in producing high quality audio recordings of short stories and flash fiction compilations. These podcasts are recorded by actors and voiceover artists from around the world and produced by a professional studio manager ensuring we maintain a consistent high standard. We have produced some forty recordings and our podcasts on iTunes are found in the Top 20 ‘Short Story’ podcasts.
