The 24th June marks the start of Wimbledon fortnight and to celebrate this important sporting and social event this week’s Tube-Flash station is Wimbledon on the District Line. I know, I know … Southfields is the closest station if you are going to the All England Club. Jennifer Ray, author of The Dedicated Follower, confesses to being a bit of a tennis fan and can often be found watching or discussing tennis.

The brooch paired with Wimbledon is this juicy strawberry

I bought it originally to be worn at a Cancer Research fund raising event. My friend Louise, who is a jolly good baker, keeps chickens and swears their eggs are her secret ingredient. She organised a Strawberries & Cream Tea Party where I was a waitress dressed all in pink and red sporting ‘the’ strawberry brooch and a pink ostrich feather in my hair. We sold homemade cream cakes and tea. And raised lots of money for Cancer Research.
